Jeff Solari

CEO/Chief Product Manager
At age 15, Jeff designed his first interactive laser disc video game — on paper — unfortunately, he didn’t own a computer, or a laserdisc player, for that matter. But that didn’t deter him from his lifelong vision: to create truly great interactive products that work instinctively for the user.

Since then, Jeff has since gone on to become Native Instinct’s visionary CEO, managing both the creation and production of world-class interactive products. A San Francisco native, Jeff has been translating business strategies into successful interactive solutions for more than 15 years. From 1993 to 1999, Jeff was the Executive Producer at Ikonic Inc., San Francisco’s largest interactive services company before its acquisition by USWeb. At Ikonic, Jeff led the development of interactive projects for Pacific Bell, Time Warner, the World Economic Forum, News Corp, and numerous other Fortune 500 clients, and helped develop the firm’s flexible approach to product design that is now a hallmark of Native Instinct’s process.

Jeff brought the core team that became Native Instinct together in 2003 to redesign and improve The Home Depot’s e-commerce Web site. Under Jeff’s leadership, a team of more than 25 people redesigned the site, increasing registration and conversion rates; launched The Home Depot’s online Gift Registry, improving customer loyalty; and doubled leads for The Home Depot’s Installation Services group. More recently, Jeff has led Native Instinct teams to define online products for Wells Fargo, Cyworld, Walmart.com, Oracle, and BabyCenter.com.

Jeff holds an MBA and dual bachelors’ degrees in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and Materials Science Engineering from UC Berkeley. For his bachelors’ degrees, he was among those in the last class required to program in Fortran using punch cards.
