We are looking for a top notch CSS, HTML, AJAX / Javascript expert who can help take our Web applications to the next level. This is an opportunity to work on a small team with many different types of clients, including financial services, social networks and travel Web sites. This person will work with other developers, designers, product managers and editorial staff to develop interactive products for our clients.<

This is a contract position with the potential to migrate to a full-time employee position.

You’ll need to work on site at our offices in South Park in San Francisco, or occasionally on site with our clients located throughout the Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Turn design mock-ups into fully functioning Web pages
• Integrate these pages into new or existing sites.
• Partner with Product Management, QA, Design and operations to ensure that site is performing within acceptable tolerances.
• Be responsible for final presentation layer of online product. Ensure correct performance on multiple browsers and platforms

Requirements

• 1-2 years experience in Web site development working in a team environment
• Experience handcoding HTML/CSS/JavaScript for cross-browser functionality
• Experience building modular code using <div> and related tags
• Experience building forms with dynamic javascript elements
• Expertise with build processes, source control, versioning and bug tracking tools
• Good verbal communication
• Ability to problem-solve in a group scenario
• Able to take instructions as well as take initiative
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, MS Word and MS Excel
• Knowledge of AJAX
• Knowledge of .NET/.asp and Actionscript a plus ; Knowledge of Adobe Flash a plus
• BS or BA
• Understanding of consumer user experiences and interface design preferred
